Glossary
This document is intended to serve as a reference for users of the Legendary Collections platform. It contains a listing of words and phrases that are commonly used in our products. Feel free to use the listing on the right to jump to a word or use the search bar above to find a word you may be looking for. Of course, if there is a term you would like added or further explained, please just let us know.

A:
App:
an application, especially as downloaded by a user to a mobile device.
Application:
a program or piece of software designed and written to fulfill a particular purpose of the user.
Appraise:
assess the value or quality of (something).

Category:
any of several fundamental and distinct classes to which entities or concepts belong.
Card Packs:
packs are simply several cards that have been packaged for sale as a group by the manufacturer.
Chat:
text message communication over the Internet in real-time.
Collection:
an accumulation of objects gathered for study, comparison, or exhibition or as a hobby. Legendary Collections further defines a Collection as items organized by a sport and into specific sets.
Collection List:
a list of the items a user has in their various sets and collections.
Community:
a body of people of common and especially professional interests scattered through a larger society. These features are made available via the Community tab in either the Web or Mobile Apps.
Create:
members will use the Create features to indicate which items are needed for or have been acquired for a desired set.
Custom Field:
a label attached to someone or something for the purpose of identification or to give other information. In our application, this is synonymous with Tags.
D:
Deal:
an arrangement for mutual advantage. In Legendary Collections deals can be purchases, sales, or trades.
Display:
members will use the Display features to quickly enable other individuals (members and non-members) to visualize the items in/for their collections. These features will be available in the Website Builder tab of Web product.
E:
Element:
a part or aspect of something abstract, especially one that is essential or characteristic. In Legendary Collections, a user organizes the pieces of their collections in the following element structure: Collections -> Categories -> Groups -> Sets -> Items -> Pieces.
Envision:
members will use the Envision features to explore which items would be included in a desired set. These features are made available via the Research tab in either the Web or Mobile Apps.

Feedback:
information about reactions to a product, a person’s performance of a task, etc. which is used as a basis for improvement.
Forum:
a website or web page where users can post comments about a particular issue or topic and reply to other users’ postings.
Fulfill:
bring to completion or reality; achieve or realize (something desired, promised, or predicted). Members will use the Fulfill features to help them acquire and offload items in/for their collections.

Gameday Items:
any items purchased while at a game are typically collected. e.g., tickets, ticket stub, programs, parking passes, etc.
Game Used Items:
anything used during a game is also fair play for collecting. e.g., bats, balls, pucks, nets, etc.
Group:
an assemblage of objects regarded as a unit.

Item:
a distinct part in an enumeration, account, or series. Legendary Collections defines an item simply as an individual piece of a given set.

Legendary Applications, LLC.:
the company that makes Legendary Collections.
List:
several connected items or names written or printed consecutively.
M:
Manufactured Sets:
similar items that are produced specifically as a set by a manufacturer. e.g., Topps 1985 Football Cards
Member:
a person who is a registered and validated user of the Legendary Collections product.
Memorabilia:
objects kept or collected because of their historical interest, especially those associated with memorable people or events.
Mobile:
relating to mobile phones, handheld computers, and similar technology.
Module:
one of the components of our Legendary Collection Applications. The application currently has six modules available via the Web application: Organize, Research, Website Builder, Deal Manager, Reports and Community. These are accessed by selecting the applicable button in our main menu.
N:
Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs):
a non-interchangeable unit of data (digital images or art) stored on a blockchain, a form of digital ledger, that can be sold and traded.
O:
Organized Sets:
similar items collected by a user and tracked as a named set. e.g., HOF Baseball Player’s Debut Ticket Stubs
P:
PC:
a general-purpose computer equipped with a microprocessor and designed to run especially commercial software”. Can be either a desktop (stationary) or a laptop (portable).
Pieces:
the way to log the physical things you are collecting. It is possible to have multiple pieces or the same item, but not multiple items of the same piece.
Pillar:
a person or thing regarded as reliably providing essential support for something.
Player Material:
items such as Jerseys, Shoes, Gloves. etc.
Post:
to publish (a piece of writing, image, or other item of content) online, typically on a blog or social media website.
Present:
to bring (something) before the public.
Price:
decide the amount required as payment for (something offered for sale).
Private Messages (PM):
the internal communication method used in the Community section of Legendary Collections. It is like email but is only accessible from within the Legendary Collection platform.

Recommendation:
the action of recommending something or someone.
Report:
a usually detailed account or statement.
Research:
the systematic investigation into and study of materials and sources in order to establish facts and reach new conclusions.

Set:
several things of the same kind that belong or are used together.
Show:
a hosting of dealers who buy, sell and trade sports memorabilia. These typically run from 1 to 4 days and can be local, regional, or national in nature.
Smartphone:
a cell phone that includes additional software functions (such as email, an Internet browser, or custom applications)”.
T:
Tag:
a label attached to someone or something for the purpose of identification or to give other information. In our application, this is synonymous with Custom Fields.
Tickets and Ticket Stubs:
paper, cardboard, and now digital items enable attendance at sporting events.
Trade:
a transfer; an exchange.
Trading Cards:
baseball and other sports cards that are the most common sports memorabilia collectible type.
Trade List:
a list of the items a user seeks to sell or trade.
U:
Uniform Pieces:
anything a player wears is considered a piece of their uniform and is a potential collectible item.
Unopened Material:
the containers that sports cards are typically sold in. Examples include Packs, Boxes and Cases. The wrapping material is usually: wax or cello. Note: these items can either be collected when full or empty.
V:
Validated:
a member whose phone number and email information has been confirmed to be accurate.
Value:
members will use the Value features to help them determine prices of items they have, are looking to add, or are trying to offload.
W:
Want List:
a list of the items a user seeks to acquire through a purchase or trade.
